Another Gift

So below you'll find a text that Veronica and I worked on together. It's a gift for my Mom, so ssshhhhhhhhh. It's part of a story about an Egyptian magician who creates a small crocodile out of wax and then turns it into a real crocodile that hunts down and eats an evil servant. Fun! In the center is Sobek, the crocodile god.

  1. Good work! I like all the little crocodiles in the text and the crocodile god reminds me of a ninja turtle action figure I had as a kid except that the god in your drawing seems like a little more of a badass. I can tell he doesn't put up with a lot of BS.

  2. Sobek is totally badass. Anyone with a hat that elaborate has got to be cool. His temple in Kom Ombo Egypt has a crocodile pit, where they would catch the first crocodile they saw of the year (which was a sign that the Nile flood was coming) and they would take care of it until it died of old age and then they mummified it and buried it. The little crocodiles in the text are the determinative used after the word for crocodile.

  3. Wow, I agree--this guy is total badass! This is just the kind of guy you want hanging up in your house to scare away cat-nappers or Mrs. Schlesinger. Good work Justin and Veronica.

How do you take care of a wild crocodile without it like biting your arm off?
